At the Santa Clara Valley KC on Saturday, February 16, Judge Ruth Zimmerman awarded Emmie Winner’s Bitch and Best Opposite, giving Emmie her final two points towards her Championship! Emmie becomes the 12th Surfari Champion. Many thanks to Judge Zimmerman for recognizing Emmie!

Emmie earned her Championship at 10 months of age after only a few show weekends. Now Emmie will get a haircut, and support her brothers and sisters while they show, and enjoy playing and swimming with her family. Rally and water work are also in her future!

Orlando Road trip, December 2018

Emmie began her showing career in a big way with our yearly trip to Florida. Showing started in Yuma, AZ and Gulfport, MS on the way, and though she was the only class Water Dog at these shows, she and Mike were able to earn four NOHS Group placements: a Group 2 in Yuma, and two Group Firsts and a Group Third in Gulfport. More importantly, she had a great time and traveled well along with the rest of the family.

In Florida at the Royal Canin circuit, the real excitement began. On the first day, Tuesday (Space Coast), Emmie earned Reserve Winners Bitch to a 5 point major under judge Janet Cohen. On Friday at the Central Florida Working Group show and the USSPWD club’s supported entry, Emmie earned Winners Bitch for a 5 point major under Judge Wendy Willhauck (above) and was the Best of Breed Owner-Handled!

On Sunday at the AKC Championship, Emmie earned another 5 point major for Winners Bitch, this time under judge Theresa L Hundt (below). Emmie is very spirited and full of life in the ring, and we are excited to see what happens for her in 2019!
